Word of Life

Word of Life.

Are you the man God is looking for?

"The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him" 2 Chronicles 16:9.

Over the years and generations since Adam and Eve fell, God has been looking for someone He can use to bring back the relationship between him and man. Over the years, God always initiated the process of a restoration of the relationship between him and man but man has always failed over and over again. He used Moses and Joshua to bring the children of Israel back to Canaan and later on, we see different kings governing the nation of Israel but yet they all failed to bring back the fellowship God had with man before he fell into sin; Till Jesus came and died on the cross to restore this fellowship.

God is in the business of looking for a MAN! Not many but one. A man in this case refers to both Genders. God is looking for a man, or woman, whose heart will be always set on Him, and who will trust Him for all He desires to do.God is eager to work more mightily now than He ever has through any soul. The clock of the centuries points to the eleventh hour. The return of Jesus Christ draws nigh than we thought/think it is ~ you better get ready my friend. You better not be left alone here when Christ comes to take his bride (the church) home. "The world is waiting yet to see what God can do through a consecrated soul." Not the world alone, but God Himself is waiting for one, who will be more fully devoted to Him than any who have ever lived; who will be willing to be nothing that Christ may be all; who will grasp God’s own purposes; and taking His humility and His faith, His love and His power, will, without hindering, continue to let God do exploits. God is in the business of saving mankind because of his love for them; but his Love for mankind still exists. He is looking for someone to stand in the gap and share this love with them and bring them to its knowledge… Are you the man God is looking for?

This is what God told Ezekiel in Ezekiel 2:1-10“And He said to me, "Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak to you." Then the Spirit entered me when He spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard Him who spoke to me. And He said to me; "Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their fathers have transgressed against me to this very day.” For they are impudent and stubborn children. I am sending you to them, and you shall say to them ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ As for them, whether they hear or whether they refuse – for they are a rebellious house – yet they will know that a prophet has been among them. "And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.” You shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious. "But you, son of man, hear what I say to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you" Now when I looked, there was a hand stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. Then He spread it before me; and there was writing on the inside and on the outside, and written on it were lamentations and mourning and woe.

God is looking for a man whom He will send unto the people (see verse 3 of the scripture above). People who have been rebels and stiff necked. People who have their own gods and have deserted the true Worship of Yahweh. Remember what God told the children of Israel through prophet Jeremiah? This is what the Lord said: “My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.” (Jeremiah 2:13) This is what the generation of today has done and God is looking for a man who will not fear them but will tell them the Truth. The truth is not what the man thinks but the “words of God” to them (see verse 8 of the scripture above). We need to realize that they will not easily buy in to the message that God gives us to them but the bible encourages us and tells us to not to be afraid; God calls us not to be rebellious as they are. When we walk in disobedience, God looks at us and sees no difference between us and the rebellious lot of other people. I pray that we walk in obedience of the word that God gives us and we be faithful to deliver it no matter how hurting it is.

When we read the story of the Persistent window seeking Justice in Luke 18:1-8, we realize that we are/have been called by God to stand in the gap and we must respond and rise to the challenge with a determination to pray persistently and be available to encourage one another. God is looking for a man/woman who will become relentless in their prayer commitment, as was the old widow; men who will stay committed to their callings and their covenant with God. One of the greatest enemies of Christians today; an enemy that can distract us from the seriousness of the hour – is busyness. We’re just too busy to get seriously involved in the greatest cause in the universe: the final chapter in the building of the glorious Church of Jesus Christ!“The busyness of life gets in the way of developing their relationship with God.”

Christians are falling into the busyness of our culture and becoming consumed by the hurry and overload that’s all around them. This leads to less time spent with God, which leads to a deteriorating relationship with Him. These Christians then become even more vulnerable and begin to adopt secular assumptions about how to live. What follows is, of course, a secular worldview. This, in turn, leads to more conformity to a culture of busyness, hurry and overload. Jesus asked this question, “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul, or what will a man give in exchange for his own soul?” (Mark 8: 36-37). We must sit down and count the cost. Sometimes we let go what is valuable and embrace what is not valuable. It is true we will enjoy the riches of this world and the comfort that comes with it, but where is your soul destined to after this life is over? Will you compromise and enjoy the comfort of this world and spend eternity in Hell? Remember the story of Lazarus and the Rich man in Luke 16:19-31; you will realize that this is what is happening in the world today!

Will we allow God’s Spirit to lift up the standard “in and through” us in this generation? Will we be part of the solution, or are we part of the problem? God is calling forth a remnant of men; those who will take Him at His Word and walk with renewed spiritual strength and passion. I’m referring to committed men who are not easily shaken, nor fearful and unbelieving. For such a call is not applicable to the faint-hearted or double-minded individuals, but rather to determined, believing men who refuse to compromise their walk with Christ. God is looking for and recruiting men in this hour with the purpose of bringing them to their full potential as Christians. They, in turn, can help other men make it through their own personal storms in life.

All around us, there are signs of these storms coming in unprecedented ways. Yet God wants us to clean up our lives so that we are spiritually fit for the Master’s use. Paul told Timothy; “Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work” (2 Timothy 2:21). All round about us, we are surrounded by issues, battles that we fight each and every day, in our families; places of work, ministry and even in our personal walk of faith with God; but yet, amidst all this, we are assured of God’s victory if and only if; we dedicate ourselves fully unto the masters work and make ourselves available for his use.

My prayer is that … God will find us ready to work with him… in partnership with him to transform & Change our nation and the world too for his Glory. Remember… you got to be changed before you change!! Be the change that you want to see!

Blessed day!!

Shalom!
